“It’s probably just bad cramps.” “Try more ibuprofen.” “Some women just have painful periods.” If you’ve heard some version of that before finding real answers, you’re far from alone — and it’s exactly the pattern PRM was built to break. Our Chicago team is expanding to bring that same specialized, take-you-seriously care to more patients across Illinois.
Here’s a look at the providers seeing patients — and joining the team — at PRM Chicago.

We’re adding providers in Chicago because the current system isn’t built to catch pelvic pain early. More clinicians on the ground means shorter waitlists, broader specialty coverage for complex or surgical cases, and a care team that can actually stay with a patient from diagnosis through recovery.
Between our surgeons and pelvic pain specialists, the Chicago team covers a wide range of conditions, including:
Do I need a referral to see a provider at PRM Chicago? In most cases, no — patients can request an appointment directly with the Chicago team without a referral.
What’s the difference between a gynecologic surgeon and a pelvic pain specialist on this team? Surgeons are fellowship-trained physicians who perform endometriosis excision and other advanced gynecologic surgery when it’s needed. Pelvic pain specialists focus on non-surgical evaluation and treatment — including the PRM Protocol™ — and often work alongside surgeons before and after surgery. Many patients see both.
What happens at a first appointment? A comprehensive, unhurried evaluation — your provider reviews your health history and prior treatment, listens to your symptoms in detail, and performs a physical exam to help identify what’s contributing to your pain, then walks you through a personalized plan.
Does PRM Chicago offer non-surgical treatment, or is surgery always required? Both. Not every patient needs surgery — the Chicago team offers non-surgical options alongside advanced excision surgery, and helps you figure out which fits your symptoms and goals.
I’ve already had surgery or treatment elsewhere and I’m still in pain — can PRM Chicago help? Yes. Many patients come to PRM after previous treatment hasn’t fully resolved their symptoms. The team specializes in complex, previously-treated cases.
Does PRM Chicago accept my insurance? PRM works with a range of insurance plans — visit PRM’s insurance page or contact the Chicago office directly to confirm coverage before your visit.
Whether you’re newly exploring what’s going on with your body or you’ve been searching for real answers for years, our Chicago team is ready to help you figure out the next step.
We hear you. We see you. We believe you.
