PRM is proud to welcome Dr. Evan Friedman, a board-certified OB-GYN and fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, to our Center of Excellence in the Greater Washington, D.C. area. Dr. Friedman is now accepting new patients for consultations and surgeries at our Bethesda location.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. Friedman has performed more than 2,500 minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries—including laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures for endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic adhesions.
His approach centers on precision, tissue preservation, and long-term symptom relief, ensuring each patient receives individualized, evidence-based care. For those living with chronic pelvic pain or complex gynecologic conditions, his experience provides both technical skill and compassion that patients can trust.
Why Excision Surgery Matters
In treating endometriosis, Dr. Friedman advocates for comprehensive excision surgery rather than ablation. Excision allows for the complete removal of endometriosis tissue at its root, offering patients longer-lasting relief and reducing the risk of recurrence.

A Leader in the Field
Dr. Friedman completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where he trained extensively in advanced laparoscopic techniques and patient-first surgical care.
He has also held leadership and teaching roles at Kaiser Permanente and George Washington University, mentoring the next generation of gynecologic surgeons and advancing safety and efficiency in the operating room.
